In the 60s when Brazil was facing a military dictatorship, a cultural movement arose standing against the oppression through a revolution of music, film and art. The movement was known as Tropicalia. The brief presented is for an ‘all things tropical’ festival called Tropicalia that aims to celebrate and relive that strength of community through a unique, peculiar and vibrant identity for the festival. I approached the brief by designing a bright and tropical pattern, displayed through a design for a leaflet, VIP pass and ticket.
